Wakefield Gilbert and Sullivan Society is a keen amateur performing arts society based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
We perform one full scale production each year as well as other smaller concerts and events.
We rehearse on Tuesday nights at College Grove Sports Club, Eastmoor Rd, Wakefield, WF1 3RR.

Mikado props and costume hire
Our 150 Mikado costumes, acquired from Homburgs Costumiers, are now ready for hire. We have supplemented the chorus and principal outfits with ladies’ and gentlemen’s fans and shoes, ladies’ wigs, and gentlemen’s hats. See our Costume Hire page for more details and photos. Society AGM – The committee needs you!
The Annual General Meeting is upon us again (3rd August 2010) and there will be vacancies within the committee. The Gondoliers
Our 2010 production of The Gondoliers was very well received and we had a great week. Thank you to everyone who came. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
